One of the users gave us a 'very critical' feedback, and we learnt the first lesson - "Things that often appear intuitive to you need not be really intuitive" So, here is a reply...
- What is Paahijen ?
It is a web based advertisement posting site, where you can post advertisements for anything you wish.. Most common usage may be classified ads that you find in newspapers or on craigslist. But possible usage could be posting advertisements for your blogs/flickr photos/ or even adding your bookmarks (eg. your delicious page.). Yes it is free!!
- What is Offer([O])/Request([R])?
This is how we want to differentiate between the posts. Most of the posts will be 'Offers' where you are advertising for something. But there may be a few requests as well. eg. if you are looking for a rental apartment when you relocate to new place. Thus the two catagories Offers and Requests.
- What is Star rating?
This actually a user's way of telling that this particular post is Good. (May be an icon of Thumbs Up in place of Star would do.) We'll look into that.
- What one needs to Sign in for? and What One does not need to sign in for?
One needs to sign in for "creating/editing posts" or "marking posts as Star/Spam". For searching posts/displaying details one need not sign.
- Tag Weights aka Importance and Why not search Post Titles?
This is one important aspect of your post. Instead of simply assigning tags as one normally does, we'd want user to sit back give some thoughts and then assign importance to tags as (s)he finds appropriate. This gives you a lot of flexibility for you to decide what is important for your post and what is not? This will come into play (believe us!) when users search for tags and hence we are not searching post titles right now. We'll work on this soon.
- User Info ?
As a policy it is hidden right now. It will be visible soon when we give final touches to our policy. As a consequence (we are really sorry for this!) one has to give contact details like ph. no/email address in the post.
